What GPU do you have? (It's written in main menu on the bottom of the game)
Screenshot is taken from several years old GF250, it runs the game quite good and I hope to keep that. In other words, for now, GF250 is expected to be in "system requirements".
*maybe on Medium settings, not Ultra
Unit limiter is not only that. It also provides leverage for some more things:is there predicted unit limiter? I remember that in many strategy games. And it was always made to avoid game crashes and lags.
- prevent spams (especially in SP, so players cant accumulate huge force and then steamroll over enemy. Same applies to AI)
- make players balance their army within that limit
- keep army control manageable (same thing why Warcraft/Starcraft could select only 9/12 units at once), so every time player has to control no more than 200 units (usually much less)
This limit can be a hardcoded number, like in StarCraft, but it also can be a dynamic one, that depends on players attention.
In Knights Province (as in KaM) every unit has a hunger bar. This is the limit. Player can not have big force without needing to provide food for it - food needs map control, map control needs players attention.
KaM food limiter was tuned for slow-paced SP - in MP it did not really work - all fighting was over before any warriors got hungry. In KP I hope to fix that by deprecating peacetime, so players can start training troops early and by the time serious battles occur, they already need to feed some.
